Main Challenges Faced During Drilling

  • ⛏️ Severe bit wear due to frequent contact with granite and boulders

  • 📉 Low penetration rate (0.2–0.3 m/h) even in weathered granite

  • 📊 High variability in strata, making standard parameters ineffective

  • 🔧 Improper bit replacement – mixed old and new cones on the same head

  • 💧 Poor slurry circulation – leading to heat buildup and inefficient debris removal

  • 👷 Inconsistent operator skills – variable drilling pressure and RPM
